SEOUL, February 10. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul hosted a roundtable discussion on the occasion of the 582nd anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
Our compatriots working in this country, Korean students studying the Uzbek language at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, also took part in this event, which was held jointly with the representative office of the World Youth Association of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea.
At the event, the large-scale work carried out in Uzbekistan to widely promote and study the heritage of Alisher Navoi, in particular, to study the life and work of our great-grandfather, who made a significant contribution to the development of world literature, as well as inspired by his humanistic ideas, was noted.
At the meeting, it was noted that to widely promote the literary and scientific heritage of the representative of our classical literature, to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, a monument to Alisher Navoi was erected in Seoul, the opening ceremony of which took place in December 2021, on the eve of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea.
